A new game mode coming to will let players relive the battle between the Ewoks and Imperial stormtroopers on the forest moon of Endor from Return of the Jedi. The new mode, dubbed Ewok Hunt, will go live in Battlefront 2 on April 18.In Ewok Hunt mode, players fight either as an Ewok defending their village or as a member of the Empire trying to survive an adorable ambush. Each stormtrooper defeated spawns as another Ewok, multiplying until the Empire’s forces have been completely eliminated, and the Ewok celebration can begin. However, the stormtroopers’ superior training and firepower are more than a match for the Ewoks. Armed with a cadre of weapons as well as flashlights to pierce the darkness, players must hold back the Ewok’s ambush if they have a hope of surviving until an extraction team can arrive.If the term “Wisties” doesn’t ring a bell, they’re a race of tiny, sentient fairy-like creatures who made their first appearance in the Star Wars universe in the made-for-TV movie Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure.Star Wars Battlefront 2 will get some new, Endor-themed cosmetic items for existing characters, namely Endor Han and Endor Leia.
